The ASW Light Vessel shall have the capability to operate and perform different missions in heavy weathers and severe conditions up to sea state 4. The main operational theatres will be the Arabian Gulf and the Arabian Sea. The vessel shall be able to stay at sea for 7 days and will be manned for a two-watch system with a maximum of 12 crew members.

The ASW Light Vessel is designed to meet the operational requirement with its main missions:

  • ASW elementary tasks in case of submarine detection
  • Surveillance and intelligence gathering
